Remember the awesome Baby Carrots‘ campaign and their vending machines that dispense nothing but baby carrots? Well this isn’t the only green innovation in this field…there’s a vending machine that is arguably more progressive and innovative. It provides you with a “fun way to save the earth” and doesn’t even want any money in return. Intrigued? Welcome to the world of Swap-O-Matic.

The interwebz has seen lots of large brands thanking their fans for reaching certain milestones on their Facebook pages including one of the latest from Heineken who sent out a team of models in Amsterdam to thank beer lovers.

Then there’s Porsche who celebrated a special milestone in a rather unique way recently when they racked up 2 million Facebook fans. To mark the occasion, a special Cayman S featuring the fan’s photos has been created and is currently on display at Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany. There’s even a website where you can see if your pic made it onto the car.

Superthin OLED TVs were the rage at last year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. LG borrowed the look of security camera video to humorously drive the key point home: They’re really thin. The video has already accumulated almost 4 million view on YouTube.

MINI have launched a pretty cool, live streaming social installation at the Brussels Motor Show, featuring the new MINI Countryman. The Countryman was placed on a 15% slope, held only by a thick rope, while a Bunsen burner was placed under the rope and remote rigged to their live streaming app, where each “like” generates you a burst of flame on the rope in real time…cool digital & real world mashup.

NET-A-PORTER are rolling out Augmented Reality Shopping Windows, around the world including Paris, New York, London, Munich and Sydney. Cool idea especially for after hours sales…

If you thought that the digital-era brought a new era of personalization, 3D printing takes it to a different level entirely.
